Wilder has a B.A. in English & Music, and an M.Sc. in TV/Radio and Film. He wrote for the Montreal Star for three years, and the Toronto Star for 365 days. For Capitol Records he became the first National Publicity Manager in the Canadian music industry, then found a home at the Toronto Sun as Senior Showbiz Columnist and syndicated feature writer, spanning the spectrum of popular culture in 22 years. He has also done regular columns or multiple features for a dozen national magazines, scripts for CBC-TV, hundreds of live music reviews for CHUM-FM, dozens of pop-culture commentaries for CFRB, adult-education courses in Creative Thinking, high school media and theatre classes, and books and speeches as ghost writer.
